Granite and Marble Stones
The dictionary defines stone as a "a piece of rock or hard mineral substance, of small to moderate size,". However, looking at a deeper sense stone have different values and benefits. In addition, there are many different types of stone, born from many different kinds of lithification, or rock making, processes, such as sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic stone.
Granite stone is one of the natural stone that is usually light-colored, coarse-grained igneous rock consisting mostly of quartz, orthoclase feldspar, sodium-rich plagioclase feldspar, and micas. The darker minerals in granite are usually biotite and hornblende. Granite is one of the most common rocks in the crust of continents, and is formed by the slow, underground cooling of magma.
Marble on the other hand, is a metamorphic rock formed by alteration of limestone or dolomite, often irregularly colored by impurities, and used especially in architecture and sculpture. Marble usually has a mottled appearance but can be given a high polish.

Natural stone such as granite and marble are necessary in decorating and as protection to bathroom floors and kitchen countertops because of it’s natural durability, texture, and quality. Because bathrooms and kitchen are always prone to moisture and humidity, these natural stones are mainly used and yield better results compared to any other materials.
Together, marble and granite form such a blend of natural stones, which can give a uniquely style in every building structure it applies. Their specific usage gives the desired result and best design. These are long lasting natural stones which are far more superior to other man-made materials.
